Natalie Belyea, Senior at Tulane University
I’m thrilled to have returned for another summer at Tarbox in an expanded role as a summer associate and the Intern Program Manager. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my time at Tarbox– the field of work, my role, and, of course, the wonderful team. My perspective of having held both intern and employee roles at Tarbox has given me a unique opportunity in working with Emily, Joe, and Mason. I am so appreciative of Laura and the team pushing me with further responsibilities in my expanded managerial role.
A little update on me: I finished my junior year at Tulane and spent the fall semester studying in Madrid, Spain. For this upcoming school year, I am excited to serve as Vice President of Women in Business and have been accepted into the Burkenroad Program, a nationally honored equity research class. Additionally, the alumni association appointed me to serve on the executive board for Tulane’s student alumni organization. While there is much to look forward to back in New Orleans, I appreciate the experience and insight that another summer at Tarbox has provided!
Emily Addis, Sophomore at Cornell University
Interning at Tarbox this summer has provided me with an unparalleled experience to learn more about the financial industry. As I am interested in both finance and entrepreneurship, Tarbox serves as an excellent fit for me!
I am a rising sophomore at Cornell University majoring in Applied Economics and Management and planning to minor in Environmental and Sustainability Sciences. When I am not studying or trying to keep warm, I compete on the varsity women’s soccer team at Cornell. In addition, I am a member of two leadership organizations on campus, which will prepare me for leadership roles as a woman in the business world.
Thank you, Laura and the Tarbox team, for being so welcoming and sharing your invaluable knowledge of the financial industry. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be surrounded by such inspiring role models at Tarbox this summer!
Joe Laptin, Sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania
This summer at Tarbox, I’ve gained practical knowledge from the variety of projects with which I’ve been involved. From modeling scenarios and researching funds on Bloomberg to evaluating investment platforms, these few weeks have flown by and gave me invaluable insight into the world of investments and finance.
As a rising sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania, I plan to major in Economics with concentrations in Finance and either Management or Legal Studies & Business Ethics within the Wharton School of Business. I desire to work in some capacity in the finance industry with a special interest in private equity and venture capital. Previously a member of the Heavy Weight Crew team at Penn, I left the team to dedicate more time to schoolwork and clubs, including Club Water Polo and Club Rugby. My other favorite commitment is the Quaker Finance Group, a student-run investment club.
I cannot thank Laura and the team at Tarbox enough for the opportunity this summer! I look forward to returning to school with a better understanding of not only wealth management but also the whole of investments and finance as well!
Mason Mitzner, Junior at Santa Clara University
The opportunity to intern at Tarbox has given me a front-row seat to observe and interact with the financial world. Working hands-on with the team has allowed me to expand my horizon of not just the finance industry but also on the mechanisms of Tarbox’s unique business model and philosophy. Tarbox’s model of teamwork, clear expectations, and excellence made for a fantastic working environment that not only promotes productivity but constant life learning as well. Through projects and helpful guidance, I hope to absorb all that is being taught to me by the wonderful people that run this company.
I am a rising junior at Santa Clara University and majoring in Economics with a minor in International Business. Along with my ever-growing interest in the financial sector, Santa Clara University has provided me an exceptional educational experience with both a broad focus on core education and specialty courses on what I wish to pursue.
