Mary is Tarbox’s Chief Operating Officer and Compliance Officer. In addition to ensuring the firm’s compliance with all internal and external regulatory requirements, Mary is responsible for implementing the company’s strategic vision and business goals and directing all operational, administrative, talent management, and infrastructure activities for the firm.
Mary began her career in the investment profession as Vice President at the Capital Group Companies, educating defined contribution and non-profit clients in making informed investment decisions. She later served as a consultant for Fortune 500 clients, advising them on pension assets. Before joining the Tarbox team, Mary worked with a private equity sponsor, structuring middle market buyout deals and valuing companies.
Currently, Mary serves as Program Chair and Director of the CFA Society of Orange County and is instrumental in providing industry insight to the broader CFA community through special events, networking opportunities, and expert speakers. She is also a Trustee of the Friends of the Girl Scout Trust. Mary holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
