Mike has been with Tarbox for over twenty years and heads the Tarbox Investment Committee as the Chief Investment Officer. He has extensive experience in providing comprehensive financial planning to client families and their related businesses and charitable entities. Mike has expertise in stock option planning and a love for economic research.
Before joining Tarbox, Mike worked as a senior financial analyst and division finance manager at Electronic Data Systems (EDS). During his eleven years with EDS, Mike lived and worked in Dallas, London, and, finally, Southern California. Mike decided to pursue the CFP® designation to combine his financial acumen and his love of working with people. A respected expert in financial planning and investing, he has been quoted by numerous media outlets and has been a frequent guest on KNX 1070’s Business Hour. Mike has been integrally involved with the SchoolPower organization for the Laguna Beach School District, serving as treasurer and on the endowment fund’s investment committee.
Mike was awarded his CFP® designation in 2001. In 2010, he completed the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation (CDFA), which enables him to better assist clients with separation settlement issues and planning. Mike received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of Florida.
